How to Make Scrambled Eggs Fluffy

Scrambled eggs are a popular item on breakfast menus in homes and in restaurants all around the country. Scrambled eggs basically consist of beating eggs together and frying them in a pan with some form of fat. It can be quite simple to create a scrambled egg dish, or quite complicated, depending on which recipe you follow. Many people add extras such as cottage cheese, sour cream and even baking powder in an effort to create fluffy scrambled eggs. Following some simple guidelines will help you make fluffy scrambled eggs every time.

Crack eggs into a medium mixing bowl. Use as many as you need to feed you and your family or guests.

Add 1 tsp. of milk for each egg, or 1/2 tsp. of water per egg. Beat the eggs with a whisk or fork, until the color is evenly distributed and the eggs are frothy. Manual beating typically takes about two minutes. Alternatively, use an electric mixer for 20 to 25 seconds, according to

Place 1 tbsp. of butter into a frying pan on low to medium heat. Add the eggs when the butter is almost completely melted.

Push the eggs toward the center of the pan with your spatula, just after they begin to set. Tilt the pan from side to side to distribute the rest of the eggs.

Continue pushing the eggs to the center of the pan until the runny sections have firmed, then flip them all over at once with your spatula. Cook for an additional 15 to 25 seconds, then remove from the heat, and transfer the eggs to your plate.
