On a low-carb diet and can’t eat pizza? Think again!
This cauliflower pizza crust is gluten-free and grain-free, vitamin-rich and a cinch to make. It’s also so tasty that you might never go back to regular ol’ pizza again. And all you need is a food processor, an oven and a handful of ingredients.
The recipe includes 384 calories; 25.23 grams of total fat; 31.79 grams of protein; and 9.33 grams of total carbohydrates per serving.
Begin by chopping up half a head of cauliflower in a food processor. Pour the cauliflower into a microwave-safe dish, and then pop it in the microwave to quickly cook the cauliflower.
Mix in mozzarella, Parmesan and one egg, which helps bind the crust together. And don’t forget to add a dash of Italian seasoning.
In a pizza pan, pat and shape the mixture so that it resembles a round pizza crust. Pop it in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit until lightly browned.
You’ll top the cauliflower crust with tomato sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan and grape tomatoes. Bake the pizza for a few more minutes, just until the tomatoes have softened and the cheese has melted.
Finish with a sprinkling of basil leaves for an extra kick of flavor.
