Cocoa is an excellent choice for a face mask because it contains antioxidants to protect skin from sun damage. In addition to cocoa, a cocoa face mask contains dairy products to moisten the skin, honey to reduce inflammation and oatmeal to exfoliate. You can make the mask in minutes using common grocery items. Cocoa face masks work best for those with dry or average skin.
Place all of the ingredients in a blender. If desired, you can substitute 5 tbsp. unflavored yogurt for the heavy cream and cottage cheese.
Blend the ingredients until smooth. Add a tiny bit of water and blend again if the mask isn’t smooth enough.
Apply the mask evenly over your face and leave on for 20 minutes.
Rinse the mask off with warm water.
