Ginger is a very pungent and tasty root. It can be used for many different recipes. Most recipes do require that you hand press the ginger for the recipe.
First take your ginger and thoroughly wash using fingers or vegetable brush to gently scrub around the root.
Take your knife and hold against the length of the ginger and cut downward. This will create two equal pieces of ginger.
Chop the ginger slices sideways creating chunks that will easily fit into the garlic press.
Place ginger into press and close garlic press. Make sure to position over bowl so that none of the ginger or juice escapes from you.
You may have some of the ginger to stick inside of the garlic press. Take your tooth pick and push on through. Add this to your recipe and enjoy.
