Silicone may be one of the most popular materials for modern bakeware. Durable for all temperatures, silicone bakeware can literally be taken from the oven and place right into the freezer. The flexible material allows you to twist or pop food out of mold, instead of digging to get your treats out of their molds. Best of all, silicone bakeware is rather easy to clean. Even if you have burnt-on food stains on your silicone bakeware, use the proper methods and materials to keep your bakeware good as new.
Mix warm water and dish detergent until it forms suds.
Soak a washrag or sponge in the soapy water and wipe down the silicone bakeware. This will remove most dirt and food remains.
Soak the bakeware overnight in warm soapy water. Wipe down it the morning with a washrag soaked in warm soapy water. The soaking will remove many burnt stains or spill marks.
Mix three parts baking soda and one part water to make a paste. Spread the paste over the burnt stain marks. Allow the paste to sit on the stains for at least 30 minutes.
Scrape the paste and remaining burnt spill marks off of the bakeware with a plastic scraper or mesh pad. Wash as normal to remove residual stain or paste.
