Homemade Chamomile Face Toner
Chamomile is a flowering plant closely related to the daisy. As a tea, it offers health benefits and can improve your complexion by fighting skin inflammation and alleviating muscle fatigue that can make your face look tired and aged.
To make chamomile face toner, boil one-half cup of distilled water. Steep a chamomile tea bag in the water for five minutes. Allow the tea to cool and pour it into a lidded glass bottle. Apply the homemade toner to your face with a cotton ball and allow it to dry. Do not rinse the toner away.
Homemade Apple Honey Face Toner
An apple a day may or may not keep the doctor away, but apples do contain alpha hydroxy acids, which help exfoliate dead, dry skin cells leaving fresh, glowing skin. Honey is good for your face as well. Loaded with antioxidants, it can help remove free radicals that can cause skin damage and wrinkles. Honey also as an anti-inflammatory and will reduce puffiness.
Reap the skin benefits of apple and honey with this toner. Peel and core a medium-sized apple. Dice it and toss into a blender with a tablespoon of honey. Puree until you have a thick liquid. Apply the mixture to your face and allow it to sit for up to fifteen minutes. Rinse away and discard any remaining toner.
Homemade Apple Cider Vinegar Face Toner
Apple cider vinegar fights acne and restores the proper level of acidity to your skin. It can also help heal skin problems such as psoriasis or dry, itchy skin. If you forgot to wear your sunscreen and have a sunburn on your face, apple cider vinegar will help alleviate pain, blisters and peeling skin.
To make a toner, combine equal parts apple cider vinegar and distilled water in a lidded bottle. Shake well and apply it to your face with clean cotton balls. Allow the toner to dry completely before rinsing.
