Facts About Under Armour Sandals

by Sampson Quain

Under Armour is a performance-apparel company founded in 1996 that specializes in manufacturing clothing that absorbs moisture and helps keep athletes and fitness devotees dry during games, workouts and other physical activities. The company also makes footwear, including running and training shoes, and a selection of sandals in a variety of colors and styles for men, women, boys and girls.

Sizes and Colors

Men's Under Armour sandals are available in sizes that range from 7 to 18, however, the greater the size, the fewer style choices you have. For example, at the time of publication, size 9, 10 and 11 sandals are each available in 12 styles, but size 18 sandals only have two styles. Color choices for men's sandals are navy, gray, white, green brown and black. Women's Under Armour sandals come in size 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, each available in four styles. Color choices are limited to only black, white and pink. Boy's sandals come in size 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and girl's sandals are available in size 1, 2, 3 and 4 in black, white and navy colors.

Styles

At the time of publication, Under Armour men's sandals have 12 styles, including Chesapeake III, Resolute II Lite T and UA Ignite II Slide. These styles differ primarily by how they are worn. For example, slide-style sandals fit your entire foot, unlike traditional three-point pattern sandals. Women's sandals have four styles: UA Marbela II T, Ignite III Slide, UA Playmaker III and Marbella Sport II. The Marbella styles are traditional sandals, but the Ignite III and the UA Playmaker III are slide-style. Boy's sandals are made in three styles: UA Playmaker II, UA Rally II Slide and Boy's Locker Slide. Girl's sandals come in five styles: UA Rally Power II, UA Rally II Slide, UA Marbella II T and UA Playmaker III Slide.

Material

Under Armour three-point sandals are made with durable molded rubber soles and performance foam for traction and cushioning. The top layer of the slides are anatomically contoured to mold to your foot and provide extra comfort. Some slide-style sandals are built with ArmourLastic, a footbed material with a textured pattern that acts as a kind of shock absorber for your foot, and also provides massage action.

HeatGear

One of the hallmarks of Under Armour apparel is HeatGear technology, which consists of a microfiber fabric blend that uses compression to keep moisture away from your body in hot weather. This same technology is used to line the adjustable velcro straps of several slide-style sandals, which helps to keep your feet dry and cool, whether you're on the beach or walking on other hot surfaces.
