Lacing up high top Vans isn't hard to do. But for them to look right the proper steps must be followed. Various looks can be achieved by using different styles of laces but the same lacing technique should be followed for all styles.
Place an unlaced Vans high top on a flat surface with the toe pointed toward you. Unroll one shoelace.
Take one side of the lace and pass it through the bottom-right eyelet, working from the outside to the inside. Take the other side of the lace and pass it through the bottom-left eyelet also from the outside to the inside. Hold up both ends of the lace and pull through the eyelets until the amount of lace on either side is equal.
Take the lace from the right side of the shoe and cross it over to the outside of the second eyelet on the left side. Pass the lace back through the eyelet, working from outside to the inside. Take the lace from the left side and cross it over to the outside of the second eyelet on the right side. Pass the lace back through the eyelet, working from the outside to the inside. Repeat these steps for all remaining eyelets.
