Wrinkles are never welcome, and treatments you buy at the cosmetic counter can cost hundreds of dollars. Nature has its own cures for wrinkles as well as many methods to prevent premature aging. Try some of these recipes to give skin a smooth and youthful glow.

Diane Irons, author of "911 Beauty Secrets: An Emergency Guide to Looking Great at Every Age, Size and Budget," suggests smoothing cucumbers on the face as a remedy for wrinkles. Cucumbers have a pH balance of 5.5, which is the same as healthy skin.

Scrub your face with sugar. Sugar contains glycolic acid and is used in facial peels to treat and prevent wrinkles.

Aloe has healing properties that prevent and treat wrinkles. Aloe juice can be bought at any health food store, and it can be used as a facial toner.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C dissolved in water prevents and treats wrinkles when applied to aging areas. Vitamin C is a rich antioxidant that protects tissue from damage.

Flaxseed Oil

Apply flaxseed oil directly to areas with wrinkles. Flaxseed oil increases circulation and encourages cell regeneration because of its high content of Vitamin E.

Avocados are rich in natural oils and anti-aging vitamins such as vitamin A and E. Apply a mashed avocado to the face for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water for a skin nourishing and wrinkle preventing mask.
