Synergy massage, sometimes known as the Synergie Aesthetic Massage System (AMS), uses vacuum technology and the careful application of pressure using a special machine to deliver a deep massage. This type of technique has been used for decades to break up cellulite so the body can sweep it away. The treatment is entirely non-invasive and is done at the surface of the skin, but the technology still reaches deep into muscle tissues.
Originally, the Synergy AMS machine was invented to soften scars, but users discovered it had the added beneficial effect of breaking up cellulite deposits that reside at the surface of the skin. It was introduced in Europe in the 1980s and has been used across the world ever since.
Cellulite is the rippling fat deposit most common on the thighs, butt and stomach areas. The vacuum technology of the Synergie AMS system gently kneads the skin to break up these fat deposits to allow them to be flushed from your body.
The treatments have been described as the same feeling you get when you have a deep tissue or Swedish massage. Some people find it so relaxing they actually fall asleep.
Within four or five treatments you will begin to see results, with the skin smoothing and the cellulite beginning to disappear. You may also notice a serious reduction in inches after using the treatments for a period of time.
No treatment works completely for everyone, though great benefits have been reported with Synergie AMS. The treatments are no substitute for a proper diet and exercise, but the effects can help your hard work pay off with more visible results.
Since the procedure is non-invasive, there is no limit to the number of treatments you can receive. Typically, the treatments are performed twice a week and each session lasts for 30 minutes. These twice-weekly treatments usually continue for 2 months or longer, or until you have reached your individual goals. Remember, since the treatment is non-surgical and does not involve any kind of drug, you must commit to a regular schedule in order to achieve the results you want.
