How to Make Beef Tacos. Makes 10 to 12 tacos.
Stir 1 pound ground beef and green pepper in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until beef is light brown and green pepper is tender.
Stir in 1/2 cup water and 1 package of taco seasoning. Bring to a boil while stirring.
Reduce heat to simmer. Cover.
Cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until water is absorbed.
Wrap taco shells in aluminum foil. Sprinkle with water and place in hot oven for 5 minutes.
Place shell on plate.
Add meat filling.
Sprinkle on cheddar cheese.
Add shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sour cream.
Shells may be wrapped in paper towels and microwaved on high for 30 seconds instead of being heated in oven.
