Tanning beds are a fantastic way to utilize the best of what the sun has to offer, but in the privacy of your own home. All tanning beds come equipped with a timer. After years of use, the timer will eventually burn out and need to be replaced. Each tanning bed model requires a specific timer. Replacing the timer should take approximately 25 to 45 minutes depending on your skill level.
Locate the timing unit on your tanning bed and remove it from the tanning bed using a screwdriver.
Open the bottom of the timing unit using your screwdriver. You'll see lead wires connecting to the timer. Write down exactly which color wires attach to which ports on the timer.
Remove the wires from the timer. Unscrew the base on the new timer and attach the lead wires according to your notes from step 2.
Close the bottom of the new timer and attach it to the tanning bed.
