by Tiffany Lin ; Updated November 07, 2016

Hit with a massive case of the munchies? Bake a batch of these easy-to-make chocolate chip blondies. It’s a gluten-free snack that’s rich in protein and fiber.

This no-frills treat requires nothing more than a food processor, oven and a handful of ingredients. The secret ingredient that makes them soft and chewy? Chickpeas! They add a fudgy texture that’s incredibly delicious — and, believe us, you can't even tell they're in there.

Begin by blending chickpeas, almond butter, dates, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt and an egg in the bowl of a food processor. Then, you’ll fold in some chocolate chips and spread the mixture onto a cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes.

Finish with a sprinkling of sea salt on top. And that’s all, folks. It really is that easy.
