About Naturtint Hair Color

by Christa Titus ; Updated September 28, 2017

Naturtint is a brand of natural, permanent hair dye made from such ingredients as corn, soy and wheat. The ammonia-free colorant will cover gray hair and is supposed to be resistant to fading.

Cost

The suggested retail price for a 4.7-oz box of Nuturtint is $15.95, as of 2009. The box contains the colorant, a bottle of color developer, Nutrideep Multiplier conditioner, gloves and instructions.

Colors

The dye comes in 28 different colors that cover the natural hair-color spectrum, from brunette and black to blond and red.

Process

The Naturtint is mixed with the developer and applied to your hair. After 20 minutes, you massage the color into your hair and rinse it. Wash your hair with a natural shampoo and rinse. After massaging the conditioner into your hair for two minutes, rinse again.

Nourishment

The dye's natural ingredients are supposed to nourish and moisturize your hair, making it thicker, stronger and shinier.

Warning

Your resulting color may differ from the one that's pictured on the Naturtint box. Such factors as how coarse your hair is or if it's been processed can affect what shade Nuturtint will turn your hair.
