Remington is a company known for producing electric razors. There are two styles of electric razors that Remington makes: rotary razors and foil razors. Rotary razors consist of a head assembly that usually contains three separate cutting blades. Foil razors usually have two or three foils lined up in parallel that cut the hair. Opening your razor allows you to clean it. You may also want to open the razor case to access the battery.

Press the release button that is located on the front underside of the razor head to open a rotary-style Remington razor. Pull up on the head while pressing the button to open it. Twist the cutter-head assembly counterclockwise and pull it out (twist clockwise to snap back into place). To reattach the head, place it back on the body of the razor and press down to snap it into place.

Push down on the two buttons located on each side of the razor to remove the head on a foil-style Remington razor. Pull up on the head while pushing the buttons to remove it. Place the head back on the body of the razor and press down to snap it into place.

Locate any screws on the body of the razor to access its battery. Use a precision screwdriver to remove them and open up the body of the razor. You may have to peel off the rubber grip on the front of the razor to access the screws.
