How to Make No-Bake Gluten-Free Energy Balls

We received a bunch of great entries, and one that has stuck over the years was amyalbright123's, who won $100 with her recipe for No-Bake Energy Bites (recipe and nutritional info below).

No-Bake Energy Bites

You can view the complete nutritional information inside MyPlate. NOTE: You can make these gluten-free as long as you choose gluten-free oatmeal.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 16 balls
Serving Size: 1 ball

Calories: 145 calories
Fat: 8 grams
Carbs: 16 grams
Protein: 4 grams

INGREDIENTS:
* 1 cup (dry) oatmeal – be sure to choose gluten-free oatmeal if you want it to be gluten-free.
* 1/2 cup chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup peanut butter
* 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
* 1/3 cup honey
* 1 tsp. vanilla

DIRECTIONS:
Mix ingredients together in a large bowl. Roll into 16 bite size balls. Refrigerate to set. Enjoy!
