Dry under eye skin can cause an increased amount of wrinkles and discomfort throughout the day. While several commercial eye moisturizers are available, the chemicals in these products often cause skin irritation. Rather than suffering from dry, irritated skin, you can make natural moisturizers to hydrate your under eye area. As an added bonus, you will save money making natural moisturizers in comparison to commercial products. Approximately 30 minutes a day are required to keep under eye skin naturally moisturized.

Morning Facial Mask

Combine the egg yolk, orange juice, lime juice and 1 tsp. of olive oil in a small bowl. Whisk the mask until it is smooth.

Apply the mask to the skin under your eyes. Allow the mask to moisturize your skin for 15 minutes.

Rinse the mask off with warm water and pat your skin dry with a warm towel. Repeat this process every morning.

Evening Facial Mask

Blend the plain yogurt and honey in a small bowl and whisk the mask until it is smooth.

Spread the mask over the skin under your eyes. Allow the mask to moisturize your skin for 10 minutes.

Rinse the mask off with warm water and pat your skin dry with a towel.

Dip your fingertips into olive oil and rub it in under your eyes. Repeat this process every evening.

Tips

  • If you would like to make the masks more soothing, try heating them in the microwave for three seconds on high. Test the masks to ensure they are not too hot before applying.
