If there's one thing that can't be disputed, it's the telltale signs of a crush. Whether it's the smile that naturally happens when he walks by or the feeling of euphoria after you've shared a laugh, you can't help but wonder how you're going to let the object of your affection know that you're into him. This can lead you to either try too hard or not hard enough to get his attention. Make sure you're being clear about your feelings.
Use Your Eyes
You've likely heard the old saying that eyes are the windows to the soul. There's a lot of truth to it. Patterns in the iris can even give an indication of whether a person is warm and trusting or neurotic and impulsive. Additionally, according to Ali Campbell, author of "More than Just Sex," when a woman looks down and then moves her eyes in a sweeping motion across the floor, it likely means she is attracted to the man she is speaking to. In other words, nonverbal communication can say more than words -- and in under a minute. So, make brief eye contact and flash him a bright smile if you want to get his attention.
Chat Him Up
The best way to let a guy know you're attracted to him is to take interest in him. For example, start by asking him questions about himself. Of course, it's important not to get too personal. However, asking him about where he grew up, the best gift he received for Christmas, what the last movie he saw in the theater was or which sports team he prefers are ways to learn more about him. Also, use what he may be wearing to ask questions: "It looks like you love the color green. Has that always been your favorite color?" Guys also appreciate humor, so don't be afraid to crack a joke or laugh at yourself if it's appropriate. Ultimately, by being direct, friendly and open, you're making yourself approachable, which leaves the door open for him to respond.
Just a Little Touch
If you want to drive the point home that you're attracted to him, find the right moment to touch him. For example, reach for his arm while you're talking or brush a piece of lint off of his shirt. Simply put, finding a subtle way to make contact gives you an opportunity to share a moment and in the process send the message that you are attracted to him.
Invite Him Out
It may seem intimidating to ask someone out on a date. While it's not for the faint of heart, it's a direct way of making your attraction clear to him. So whether it's a drink on a Thursday night, coffee on Sunday or a bite of lunch, take a chance and invite him to do something. One-on-one time creates the ideal opportunity to communicate in a casual, relaxed setting and also helps in breaking down walls. At the same time, use it as an opportunity to get to know him better and figure out if the attraction is returned.
