While the city of Atlanta doesn't have official Chinatown, Japantown or Koreatown neighborhoods, there are a large number of people of Asian decent living in the city and frequenting upscale dance and night clubs. These clubs have a large number of Asians at them on any given night, if not predominantly so.

Located in downtown Atlanta, MJQ Concourse is known as being a haven for some of the best DJs in the Atlanta area, as it's relatively off the grid, has a great dance floor and an intimate vibe. With a certain Asian flare and decor, it attracts a large number of young Asian American adults from around the city to mingle and dance with other Atlanta locals who are in the know about the establishment. The club is cash only, so be prepared to hit an ATM before showing up. Every night they spin a different type of music, from Brit Pop to Hip Hop to electronic music.

Located on the West side of Atlanta, Compound inhabits what was at one time a nice automobile dealership. This unique layout makes it different from all other nightclubs in the city, if not nightclubs in general, as it has dance floors, small intimate lounges (one of which doesn't allow smoking) and a central atrium with a small pool. DJs spin different nights and at least one night per week is Asian night, allowing Asian-Americans to flock to Compound together at once. Cover can vary between $10 to $20, depending on the night.

CosmoLava is an Asian club that is one of the most impressive clubs in the city. With three different levels, five bars and three dance floors, CosmoLava is two clubs in one. DJs spin a different style of music on each dance floor and there is a Asian-Polynesian theme to the entire club in general. Located in midtown Atlanta, this is a popular spot for Asian-American locals to gather on weekends and dance the night away, or at least until they make you leave at 3 a.m. Cover usually ranges between $5 and $10.
