Finding lint or fuzz on a knit cap or other piece of clothing can be aggravating, especially if it is new or if you are about to run out the door and wish to wear it. Removing the lint by hand can be time consuming, and not everyone has a lint shaver. With a few household items, you can bring your knit cap back to its original condition in moments.

Wrap masking tape around your hand with the sticky side facing out. Blot or rub the cap with the tape. If the fuzz is loosely attached to the cap, the masking tape should lift the fuzz off the hat. This is an inexpensive way to remove fuzz.

Brush a pumice stone gently over the cap. The stone should remove the lint easily and quickly. If the material is delicate, roll the stone over the cap instead of brushing it. Be careful not to brush too hard, or else you will risk pulling a thread in the cap.

Shave the fuzz off with a disposable razor. Apply the razor to the cap lightly so it does not catch the thread or slice a hole in the cap, and use gentle sweeping strokes to remove the lint.
