Up until yesterday, I think I was the only person on the planet who hadn’t seen the movie “Frozen.” As a matter of fact, one mom told me (as she was handing me the DVD with a smile on her face) that I had no business being a kindergarten teacher without having seen it. So, not wanting to be behind the times, I grabbed some popcorn and a soda, popped the movie into my DVD player and quickly watched it. I now see why it is a phenomenon for both boys and girls — definitely a delightful movie. So this holiday season, in keeping with a “Frozen” theme, you and your family can make some cool snowflake wrapping paper together.
Things You’ll Need
- Pine branch
- White paint
- Plain blue wrapping paper
Pour some white paint onto a paper plate and simply dip the end of your branch into the paint and press it onto the wrapping paper. Lift and turn the branch and press again. Keep pressing and turning until you get the look you like. You might have to dip it into the paint several times.
You can experiment with different types of branches to get the look you like best. I used a white fir branch for this paper.
Keep repeating the snowflake print on the entire paper. You can either do a random pattern or a symmetrical pattern, whichever you prefer. Let the paint dry overnight.
Now, you’ve got some nice handmade paper that especially Olaf would love.
Happy Holidays!
Beth
