A simple shortcut can make hard candy lollipops one of the simplest recipes in your arsenal. Jolly Ranchers come in a variety of colors and flavor, and their uniform size and shape makes them a suitable choice for a quick lollipop. If you have more time, get creative and turn the Jolly Ranchers into lollipops of any shape you desire.
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray it with nonstick spray, or use a silicone baking mat.
Unwrap the Jolly Ranchers. Lay two to four candies side by side with the long sides touching. Use a variety of flavors or alternate colors to create stripes, if desired. Leave 2 inches of space between each row of Jolly Ranchers.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for three to five minutes, or until the candy begins to melt and spread. Remove the tray quickly before the candy begins to bubble.
Lay a lollipop stick on top of the melted candy, centering it and placing it so it runs at least half the length of the Jolly Ranchers. Twist the stick so both sides are coated in candy. Repeat for each lollipop, working quickly before the candy hardens.
Cool the pan at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the lollipops are completely hardened. Store in an airtight container or bag.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and line your baking sheet with a baking mat, or use foil sprayed lightly with nonstick spray.
Set metal lollipop molds on top of the foil, spacing them 2 inches apart, and coat the inside with nonstick spray. Molds resemble cookie cutters with a hole in one side to insert a stick. Slide a stick into each mold, positioning it so the stick runs at least half the length of the mold.
Place four Jolly Ranchers in a heavy-duty zip top bag. Seal the bag and crush the candy with a hammer. Covering the bag with a tea towel prevents the candy from tearing through the bag. Repeat the process in a new bag for each color you are using.
Fill the molds so the stick is covered with the crushed candy, about ½ to 2/3 full.
Place the pan in the oven for four to five minutes.
Remove it as soon as the Jolly Ranchers are fully melted and clear. Cool the candy until it's hard and then push each lollipop out of the mold.
