Items you will need

  • 1 can fat-free condensed beef broth (10.5 oz.)
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1/3 small onion
  • Glass jar with lid
  • Grater

Salad dressing that tastes great, is healthy and easy to make is definitely possible. The trick is to substitute the usual oil in salad dressing with something healthy and packed full of flavor without the fat. The best part is that you'll never know the difference, experiencing great taste without the high fat you find in salad dressings at the supermarket.

Step 1

Grate one-third of a small onion -- you'll need approximately 1 tbsp. of finely grated onion.

Step 2

Combine the grated onion, beef broth, vinegar and chili sauce in a glass jar. Screw on the lid and shake well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Step 3

Serve immediately at room temperature or chill.

  • This dressing is best if served over crisp greens.
