How to Make a Beach Sand Foot Scrub. Next time you visit the beach, bring home a big bucket of beach sand and you'll have enough to make fantastic beach scrubs to last until your next seaside vacation. Beach sand food scrubs are easy and inexpensive, and most importantly, they gently exfoliate and moisturize your feet, leaving them smooth, soft and ready for that new pair of sandals.

Items you will need

  • 3 tbsp. clean, dry beach sand
  • Waterproof container
  • 3 tbsp. sweet almond oil
  • Capsule of 1 vitamin E capsule
  • 6 drops rosemary oil
Step 1

Place the clean, dry beach sand in a waterproof container.

Step 2

Stir the sweet almond oil into the beach sand.

Step 3

Poke a small hole in the vitamin E capsule and squeeze the oil into the beach sand mixture.

Step 4

Drop the rosemary oil into the beach sand mixture and stir until it forms a thick paste.


  • Empty margarine containers make perfect containers for beach sand foot scrub. You can substitute many oils for sweet almond oil. Jojoba oil, apricot oil, sunflower oil or cold pressed olive oil are all very skin-friendly. Apply the beach sand foot scrub over a large piece of plastic or newspaper and wipe the scrub off before rinsing your feet. Beach sand can clog your bathtub drain. Massage the beach sand scrub into your feet, spending extra time with dry and scaly areas. Wipe the beach sand scrub from your feet, and then rinse them in warm water. Dry your feet and apply a moisturizer before putting your shoes on.
