How to Lace Vans Shoes. You see them on everyone's feet. From kids to adults, Vans shoes are what everyone is wearing or wants to be wearing. From the skating crowd to the fashionably dressed young man, you find these shoes just about everywhere. To wear these shoes stylishly, you must learn to lace them properly.
Start at the toe of the Vans shoe. Push the shoelace through the first set of eyelets, from the outside in, on both sides. Pull the laces all the way through, making sure each side is even.
Cross the laces at this point. Take the left lace and bring it through the next eyelet on the right. You want to go in from the outside. Take the right lace through the next eyelet on the left, the same as you did on the right. Bring the laces to the top and match the ends.
Continue this process to the last set of eyelets, resulting in a traditional criss-cross pattern. The laces finish on the outside of the eyelets. It is a neat and clean look.
Tie your laces. There may be a large amount of lace left over. You will want to tuck this into the shoe. Leaving flopping laces can lead to accidents while you are walking or skating.
Be creative with your lacing. This is just the traditional method of lacing Vans. Learn other methods, such as straight lacing, or create your own unique lacing method. If you see someone else with shoes laced in a style you like, ask them how they did it.
