Baked potatoes are the perfect side dish when grilling dinner for family and friends. They are delicious and easy to make. How long it takes to grill baked potatoes depend solely on the size of the potato. Read more to make a baked potato, which some feel are made best on the grill!
Wash the potatoes vigorously and let them dry.
Select a piece of foil for each potato that is large enough to cover it entirely. Put a tsp. of olive oil on each piece of foil and any other seasonings you wish to add.
Poke a few holes with a fork through the skin of each potato. Wrap each potato individually in foil. Make sure each potato is covered completely.
Put the potatoes on the top rack of a grill heated to about 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Close the grill's lid.
Turn the potatoes, using tongs, every 10 or 15 minutes. Bake the potatoes for a total of about 60 minutes. Your baked potato is ready when you can slide a fork through the center of the potato easily.
A larger potato takes longer to bake. Add a half-hour baking time for each additional 1/2 pound.
