Hummus, made from cooked, mashed chickpeas and blended with seasonings, is a traditional Middle Eastern food, commonly served as a dip or appetizer with crackers or various types of bread. Hummus is simple to make, as a dip for guests or as a side dish to a meal. Freezing hummus allows you to preserve it for an extended period of time.
Scoop the hummus you plan to freeze from its serving dish into an air-tight container that's able to be put into the freezer.
Leave an inch from the top of the hummus to the top of the container, since the hummus will expand when it freezes.
Close the container and verify that it's air-tight, to maximum its freshness after you remove it from the freezer. Place the container into the freezer.
Consume the hummus within a month, to enjoy it at its best taste and texture.
