The entire body is covered with pores. But because of excessive oily skin, the pores on the face may be more noticeable. Overproduction of the sebaceous glands produces large amount of oil which harden in the pores and enlarge them. Keeping the face clean is the best way to reduce large and noticeable pores but there is no way to eliminate pores.

Boil a pot of water on the stove. Turn off the heat. Place a towel around head and lean over the pot. Let the steam surround the face for about 10 to 15 minutes. A steam facial softens the hardened oil so it can flow out the pores. The pores are cleansed by the steam.

Rinse face several times with cold water. Alternatively, rub ice cubes over the face. The cold temperature helps to close the pores and make them less noticeable. This is a temporary effect.

Pour white or apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball and rub over the entire face. The ascetic acid in the vinegar helps to dry out any excess oil on the skin giving the appearance of smaller pores.
