How to Decorate Flip-Flops for a Wedding

A wedding consisting of a ceremony followed by a reception can take its toll on a woman's feet. While high-heeled shoes are beautiful, they are often not the most practical form of footwear for lengthy occasions. Solve this problem by decorating your own wedding-themed flip-flops. Ideal to wear for your beach wedding or to use as souvenirs for your bridesmaids, these flip-flops will provide style that does not sacrifice comfort.

Use clear glue to write the names of the bride and groom, as well as the date of the wedding, on the straps of each flip flop. Shake a container of craft glitter directly over the flip-flop immediately after applying the glue to create glittery text.

Attach small fabric flowers, in the colors of the wedding, to the straps with the help of a glue gun. Alternatively, you can glue crystals or attach self-adhesive craft pearls to the strap, arranging them to spell messages such as "I love you" or "Mr." and "Mrs."

Tie a piece of colored ribbon into a bow. Use a glue run to attach the middle of the bow to the point on the flip-flop where the two straps meet between the first two toes.

Write "Just Married" across the top of the flip-flop's sole in permanent marker. This method works best with light-colored flip-flops made of rubber or foam and markers in colors other than black.
