Maybe you want to take your significant other out for a night on the town but the budget it too tight. Perhaps you are sick of going out and want to stay in for a change. There are plenty of creative ways you and your special someone can have a fun and romantic night at home.
Picnic in the Living Room
Plan a romantic picnic right in your living room. Dig into your pantry and refrigerator and whip up some sandwiches or perhaps your loved one's favorite food. Spread out a blanket on the living room floor, light candles and turn down the lights. Don't forget a bottle of wine or champagne and the wine glasses. Another option is to have this romantic picnic underneath the stars in your backyard.
Pick up the latest tear jerker romance movie and cozy up on the couch for movie night. If you and your significant other can't stand those over-dramatic flicks, switch it up and go for an action or suspense thriller. Make popcorn and just enjoy each other's company while watching the movie.
Pick out any board game or card game and put the word "strip" in front of it for steamy game night fun. Strip poker, strip chess, the possibilities are endless. Make up your own rules and see if you can make it to the end of the game without ending up in your birthday suit.
Dance Party for Two
Put on some of your old favorite songs from your high school days and party. Reminisce about the good old days while grooving to the music. Play songs special to your relationship and share a romantic slow dance.
Cook a Meal Together
Find a recipe for a complicated meal you've always wanted to try. Have fun figuring out the proper measurements, seasonings and just generally following instructions. You could end up with a world-class dinner or a burnt disaster. Either way, you will have had fun with your significant other while doing it.
