Spanish rice complements any Mexican meal, including tacos, burritos and enchiladas. It can also be used to stuff peppers, as a side dish to chicken or simply eaten alone topped with garnishes such as cheese, sour cream and crushed tortilla chips. A rice cooker will help you make your Spanish rice and achieve perfect consistency. Adjust the seasonings to increase or decrease the spiciness of your rice.
Add rice, water and olive oil to the rice cooker. Drop in the chicken bouillon cubes.
Stir together the tomato sauce, Tabasco, salt, black pepper, garlic, red pepper and onions in a bowl until combined. Add to the rice cooker.
Cover the rice cooker and start the cooking. Allow the rice to cook through the entire cycle. Leave rice to rest in the cooker with the lid closed for five to 10 minutes after the cycle ends.
