Although you may be happy with the new muscles that you have developed quickly, an unwelcome side effect that can occur is stretch marks. Stretch marks are fine lines that appear on the surface of the skin as a result of rapid growth. Most stretch marks will fade in time, but removal typically requires a professional's laser or prescription. If you have stretch marks as a result of bodybuilding, you can use a few simple remedies to minimize the look of these skin problems.

Use Vitamin E to treat the affected areas. Vitamin E lotions are available at any drugstore and can be applied liberally twice a day. With regular use, you should see a decrease in the appearance of the stretch marks from bodybuilding.

Consider a sunless tanning product. A fake tan can not only show off your muscles, but you can also get rid of the unsightly stretch marks.

Adjust your load. Keep your stretch marks under control and minimize the chances of developing new ones by gaining lean muscle at a gradual rate.

Consult a dermatologist. If you are unable to get rid of stretch marks on your own, you can get professional help. A dermatologist may use laser treatments or microdermabrasion to get rid of your stretch marks.
