The pores in your skin can become clogged with oil, especially during adolescence. The pore can erupt into a pustule called a pimple if the blockage is not cleared. A pimple can turn into an open lesion, which may leave a scar when it heals. You can treat pimple scars with natural substances that can reduce or soften scar tissue. These treatments can help to minimize the appearance of pimple scars over time.

Squeeze the juice from one lemon into a bowl. Add a cup of water. Stir these ingredients together to obtain a solution of diluted lemon juice. Soak a soft washcloth in this solution and hold it against your scar for a few minutes each day.

Apply a few drops of rosehip seed oil to your fingertips. Gently rub it into the acne scar. You can perform this procedure twice each day to soften a pimple scar. Rosehip seed oil is available at health food stores.

Obtain liquid vitamin E capsules from a pharmacy or health food store. Cut a capsule open and squeeze the contents into the palm of your hand. Use our fingertips to rub the vitamin E oil into your scar issue. Vitamin E can help your skin to repair scar tissue more quickly.

Spread a thin layer of manuka honey onto your scar. Allow it to dry and wash the honey off with soap and warm water. This can help remove some of the skin cells on the surface of your skin, which will expose the newer skin cells underneath. Manuka honey—from New Zealand—is made from the flowers of manuka bushes, which give the honey powerful antibacterial properties. Manuka honey is available in health food stores.
