Things to Put in a Romantic Basket for My Boyfriend on Christmas

by Chelsea Baldwin

Guys can be hard to shop for, especially if you want to buy a sweet, thoughtful, romantic Christmas present for your man. Instead of fretting over one single gift to buy him, try getting him a basket full of lots of little surprises that he can use to let him know you put a lot of thought and effort into his gift.

Tickets

Buy a pair of tickets for an upcoming concert, play or sporting event he wants to go to. Even if the event won't be one of your favorite places, he'll appreciate your thoughts and will love that you want to go with him.

Coupon Book

Create a coupon book for your boyfriend that he can use to redeem things from you. For example, you can create a coupon for a back massage, a movie night, a homemade dinner, a night out on you, dinner in his favorite restaurant, a kiss, or anything else that he would enjoy doing with you. Use your imagination to see what creative ideas you can come up with.

Mix Tape

Mix tapes may seem a bit old school, especially since everything is digital now. However, making a modern version of a mix tape, like a playlist for his mp3 player or a CD to play on his computer at work is still just as romantic. Choose songs that you both like, along with some of your personal favorites that remind you of him.

Intimate Items

This will vary, depending on how far along and how deep your relationship with your boyfriend is. For example, you could buy him some sexy underwear or some sweet things to use in the bedroom together. Be careful though, this probably wouldn't be a good time to buy things that are more advanced than your relationship.

Music Credit

Buy him some credit for his favorite place to download music onto his computer or his mp3 player. If you know of one particular CD he has been wanting, you can place that in his basket instead.

Picture Frame

Print out your favorite picture of you two together and put in in a frame for him to put up at his place or in his office. When selecting the frame, make sure it's male-friendly and isn't covered with too many pink hearts.

Romantic List

For a more sensitive guy, you can write down all or some of the things you love about him and place it in an envelope for him to read later. He'll love reading through this list, and letting him know all the ways he impresses you will help strengthen your relationship.

Sweets

They say a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. As a space filler once you've finished the basket, put some of his favorite candy inside. To be extra romantic, bake him a batch of his favorite homemade cookies or brownies from scratch.
