Spending time with your daughter can be lots of fun. The city of Indianapolis provides endless options for activities with daughters. It is the capital of Indiana and has a population of more than 800,000, making it the hub of culture and entertainment. It is known well for its sporting events but also is home to many other attractions.
Nature and Wildlife
The Indianapolis Zoo (indianapoliszoo.com) would be a good place to take your daughter. She will probably love to see all of the cute animals, such as the exotic birds, tigers, lions and dolphins. Holliday Park and Nature Center (hollidaypark.org) is also a great destination featuring a giant playground, walking trails, gardens, a river and a nature center. Dance Performances and Classes
Girls are commonly drawn to dancing and movement to music. Indianapolis is home to several venues featuring dance performances. The Indianapolis Museum of Art (imamuseum.org) hosts several dance and music performances both in the indoor and outdoor venues. The Dance Kaleidoscope (dancekal.org) also provides regular dance shows suitable for kids. For something to do with your toddler, The Center Stage Dance Academy (centerstagedanceacademyin.com) offers Mommy and Me classes for 0- to 3-year-olds.
Fun and Games
Having some fun at a game center with your daughter is an option. Dave and Buster's (daveandbusters.com) is a large restaurant and game center for kids and adults. Innovative games fill the place with interactive photo booths, air hockey, bowling, doodle jump, connect four, shuffle board and an XD motion theater. If your daughter likes to climb, then take her to Climb Time Indy (climbtimeindy.com). It is a large indoor rock climbing facility providing climbing experiences for all ages and skill levels.
The Oldfields Lilly House and Gardens (imamuseum.org/art/collections/oldfields-lilly) is a historical estate set on 26 acres of gardens with a 22 room mansion that was once the home of J.K. Lilly Jr. Daughters of all ages would appreciate the gardens and grounds designed in the 20's. The mansion features historically furnished rooms open for touring. For the younger girls there is the Children's Museum (childrensmuseum.org) offering many hands on experiences for the kids. There is a playhouse, a carousel and a theater. There are many science exhibits and geography lessons all suited to young people offering interactive experiences.
