It is important to people who use lace wigs to find the best lace wig adhesive. When finding an adhesive, a person must take into consideration personal preference, lifestyle and the body’s chemistry with the product. Many lace wig adhesives are on the market, which all claim to be the best, but it is really up to the wearer to judge which adhesive is right for her.

Ultra Hold

Ultra Hold is an acrylic-based adhesive, and is one of the most-used lace wig adhesives on the market. It has a strong hold and is ideal for extended wear. It is also waterproof and has a non-yellowing formula. Its main ingredients are acrylic adhesive, isopropanol, ethyl acetate, heptanes and toluene. It is waterproof and easy to use.

Base Bond Adhesive

Base Bond is a liquid adhesive that comes in a 4-ounce bottle with nozzle spout. It is ideal to carry in a purse for emergency touch-ups because of its ability to dry quickly in about 30 seconds. It also has a strong hold with a 5- to 14-day holding time. Base Bond is easier to clean as compared to acrylic-based adhesives, as the main ingredient is vinyl acrylic copolymer.

Endura Bond

Endura Bond is a very strong water-resistant adhesive recommended for extended wear. It gives an 8-week or more hold and does not break down when exposed to moisture. In fact; it actually cures and hardens when exposed to sweat, water and humidity. It dries quickly, so a quick application is required. It should only be used sparingly on the perimeter of the lace wig and beginners should seek professionals who can assist them in placing the adhesive.

Perma Tec

Perma Tec is a liquid-based adhesive formulated to agree with different individual body chemistry. It is not formulated with plasticizers, as most other adhesives are. The result is a more stable formula that can withstand excessive heat and oily scalps. It has a very strong hold and dries quickly within a 5-minute period. For extra hold, a second layer of adhesive is advised.
