Places to Get Married in Hot Springs, Arkansas

by Sharideth Smith, studioD

Being the only American city located in the middle of a national park, Hot Springs, Arkansas is a wedding location of uncommon beauty and amenities. Hot Springs takes its name from the 47 hot springs in and around the city. It has been a destination retreat since over 10,000 years ago when it was first discovered by the Native Americans. The raw beauty of the surrounding area is nearly untouched due to its protected park status. All of these things combine to make Hot Springs, Arkansas an incomparable location for your wedding.

If you are looking for an all-inclusive experience, an inn might be the option for you. The Bartee Meadow Bed & Breakfast Inn offers 13 acres of beautiful grounds and hosts up to 50 people; it provides all the services you need. Hamilton House Estate is located right on Lake Hamilton and can accommodate up to 200 guests; services are limited to just the basics. Hilltop Manor Bed & Breakfast can host up to 50 people and has several areas on the property to choose from for your ceremony. The Gables Inn Bed & Breakfast has 11 packages available to meet all budgets and can accommodate up to 20 guests.

Aptly named, The Wedding Chapel offers an indoor ceremony in the church or an outdoor gathering in the garden. It can accommodate up to 50 people and also has room for a reception; services include cakes, flowers, photography and a minister. The Old Mill Wedding Chapel has several packages to choose from and can host up to 150 guests. Services include all the basics, a dance floor, sound system and champagne fountain; you just provide the food and drink.

Public Venues

The Hamp Williams Building is located in the historic district of downtown Hot Springs. A wedding can be held in either the rustic yet elegant indoor space or the enclosed courtyard outdoors; the venue holds up to 350 people. Garvan Woodland Gardens boasts five different venues for your wedding and can accommodate up to 500 guests, each of which will receive a garden pass to explore the grounds. Amenities are limited, but the location is stunning.

Riverboat Cruise

For a wedding your guests won't soon forget, the Belle of Hot Springs riverboat has what you need. Sail around Lake Hampton while exchanging vows and celebrating with friends and family. Bring your own officiant or be married by the captain -- your choice. Packages can provide for up to 50 people and may include cake, mints and nuts, and punch if needed. It is the only game in town if you want to get married on the water.
