Dental health is vital if you want to keep your smile shiny, bright and healthy. Electronic toothbrushes offer a thorough cleaning that dentists highly recommend. The Phillips Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush is one of these brushes. If your toothbrush stops working as efficiently as it should, there are some troubleshooting techniques you can try.

Specifications

The Sonicare Flexcare is a personal toothbrush package that comes equipped with a lithium ion rechargeable battery and a multivoltage charger. The basic Flexcare package comes with three brushing modes, a travel case and one brush head. Deluxe packages also come with a ultraviolet light sanitizer, a standard ProResults brush head, a compact ProResults brush head, extra brush head color indicator rings and a travel charger. The toothbrush offers two cleaning routines, a quick brush setting for quick cleaning and an extended care cleaning setting.

No Vibration

If your Flexcare turns on but the brush doesn’t move, the brush head may not be properly installed. Remove the brush head by grabbing the brush head right above where it connects to the handle. Position the brush head so the bristles align with the front of the handle where the buttons are located. Press down on the brush head so it pushes into the handle until you can’t push it down anymore. Check to see if the brush vibrates after the repositioning. If not, try charging for 24 hours. If this still doesn’t work, contact customer service.

Brush Head Off with No Vibration

If you take the brush head off your Sonicare, you may not be able to hear the vibration. Put the brush head back on and try again. If the handle still isn’t vibrating, it may need to be charged. Place the handle on the charger and leave it there for a day before attempting to use it again. If this doesn’t rectify the problem, contact Sonicare customer service.

Short Working Intervals

You may notice your Sonicare turns on but only works for a little while. Lack of vibration or short working intervals may indicate a low charge. This most likely can be rectified by charging the handle for 24 hours. If charging it doesn’t work, contact customer service.
