Situated 19 miles west of Baltimore, the city of Columbia, Maryland, has a population of 99,615, according to the 2010 U.S. census estimate. Brunswick Zone (bowlbrunswick.com) is a 32-lane bowling facility with a festive atmosphere. It has a video arcade, food and billiards. Kids will have fun going to Shadowland Laser Adventures (shadowlandadventures.com), where they can suit up and play laser tag in this state-of-the-art arena. Jump Zone Party Play Centers (jumpzoneparty.com) offers a large selection of inflatables, including a giant Batman, cars lane slide, obstacle courses, a Sesame Street area for toddlers and a Nemo 3D clubhouse.
My Gym Children's Fitness Center (mygym.com) has several classes aimed to get kids active and moving. Children up to 13 years old can participate in classes such as gymnastics, tumbling, team sports education, art and cardio fitness. Wilde Lake Karate (wildelakekarate.com) offers martial arts classes for kids ages 4 and older. The classes seek to instill self-control, respect, discipline and integrity into its students as they are taught karate. The Columbia Sports Park (columbiasportspark.org) is a large complex with recreational opportunities for kids. It houses a skate park, an 18-hole miniature golf course and batting cages. Centennial Park (centennialmd.org) provides the community with a lake area surrounded by sports fields, racquetball courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, fishing, volleyball courts, tennis courts, skateboarding area and picnic areas.
