So, you scuffed up your nice white shoes? You might think you need some special cleaner or maybe you just threw the shoes in the back of your closet, wondering, "Why bother?" Well, you can remove scuff marks from light-colored shoes, and it is fairly simple!

Items you will need

  • Toothpaste
  • Soft cloth
  • Metal polish
  • Clear shoe polish
Step 1

Apply toothpaste with a soft cloth.

Step 2

Using the same cloth, buff the area using circular motions to remove scuff marks from light-colored shoes.

Step 3

If scuff marks are now gone, proceed to Step 4. If, for whatever reason, you have still some stubborn scuff marks, you can remove scuff marks from light-colored shoes by applying some metal polish and buffing the same manner as in Step 2. Then, go to Step 4.

Step 4

Clear shoe polish will finish off your shoes nicely.

Warnings

  • Never try to polish suede or other soft fabrics/textures.
